Feline Guardians is Now an Officially Registered Charitable Organization

Over the past year, our community has grown rapidly. With that growth, we’ve taken an important step to strengthen our foundation. Therefore, we have an exciting development to announce.

Feline Guardians is now officially registered as a Public Benefit Nonprofit Corporation in the United States, with full 501(c)(3) charitable status – an internationally recognized standard for nonprofit organizations.

This milestone brings us closer to our goal: ending organized feline abuse. It also helps us ensure our work is carried out with strong standards of accountability, transparency, and ethical practice.

As we continue to grow, maintaining clarity around our identity is essential. We are taking steps to formalize and protect the Feline Guardians name and logo so they are used consistently and responsibly in support of our mission.

This progress has been made possible by the dedication of volunteers who have contributed significant time, effort, and resources. As part of this next phase, we’ve established a focused core team supported by experienced advisors and legal counsel.

Moving forward, verified volunteers will be able to contribute through more structured roles, while supporters and community members who wish to remain independent or anonymous are still very much part of this movement. We’ll be sharing guidance to help people engage in ways that align with Feline Guardians mission.

To protect our mission and meet legal requirements, we kindly ask that no individual or group fundraise or represent Feline Guardians in an official capacity without explicit authorization. Part of protecting the Feline Guardians identity is ensuring that the name and logo will forever be available to anyone who acts in a fully legal manner and keeps the mission mainly focused on cats (we are, after all, FELINE Guardians). For more information on legal requirements, please see our community guidelines on our website.

More updates will follow soon, including our long-term strategy and upcoming initiatives. We’re committed to building something that creates real, lasting impact.

Thank you for being part of this — and for standing with us in protecting cats.
